Troubleshooting
If you cannot establish
contact with the camera server:
Make sure that...
- ... the power supply is properly
connected. The Power indicator
should be lit constantly.
- ... the Ethernet cable is connected to
the the network, and that you are on the same network
segment as the camera server. The Net indicator should
blink randomly to show network activity.
- ... the IP Address is valid and
properly set (see the Quick Installation Guide). Note that you must be on the same segment
as the camera server when you assign the IP Address.
Poor images:
- Within Display Properties, configure your display to show at least 65'000 colors.
Using only 16 or 256 colors, your
computer will produce dithering artifacts in the image.
No
image or slow updating when using "Automatic picture update":
- The memory constraints become significantly more
acute if multiple clients are trying to access the same snapshot. Try to limit the number of clients.
